Reflecting on My Week
Overall, I have had a great week. It started off last Monday with a full and busy school day and then class at night. I really enjoyed class that night as I was able to learn more about my learning style and techniques that will help me succeed. Tuesday was also a busy school day, but I was able to relax at night with dinner with my grandmother. Tuesday morning my dad left for the Cape for a work conference. He was only gone until Thursday but I missed him so much. It made me think of how lucky I am that I get to see my family everyday, and feel so sorry for children who don't have a family like mine. Wednesday breezed by and Thursday was here before I knew it. On Thursday, I had a lab practical in anatomy that I was really nervous for. After lots and lots of studying, I think I ended up doing pretty well on it. Thursday night I babysat my little cousins and then watched Country Christmas performances, something I look forward to every year. Over the past weekend, I was able to relax, catch up on school work, and babysit two adorable little girls. I'm planning on the upcoming weeks being pretty crazy with the holidays coming up, so I am glad I had a relaxing week!

My Week
The past week has been interesting, but good. Starting off the week last Sunday, I prepared for spirit week. I made shirts for class color day which was Monday and then pep rally which was Tuesday. On the day off on Wednesday, I babysat all day and finished off the day going out to dinner with my grandma, uncle, and three cousins. After I got home on Wednesday night, I helped my mom prepare for our Thanksgiving dinner. Thursday morning, Thanksgiving, I spent helping my mom cook. We then filled up the car with a whole bunch of food and headed to my aunt and uncles house. As we waited for everyone to arrive, my uncle and I watched one of my favorite movies, The Blind Side. It is so inspiring and always leaves me wanting to make a change in someone's life. After the movie was over, we all had a huge Thanksgiving feast together. As tradition, we went around the table and stated things we were thankful for. I am thankful for my family, friends, and health..This week there was a death in my family, only making us more appreciative of each other and life as a whole. It is very sad that it is often not until something bad happens that we open our eyes and see how fortunate we are. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, but in my opinion, we should be thankful for all that we have everyday. Friday morning I woke up early and went shopping. It wasn't that crazy and we were able to get some very good deals. After shopping, I went to get a hair cut and then headed home to get ready for vdance. Vdance was fun and I had a very good time. Today was very relaxing and I finally got to go see Breaking Dawn. It was a great movie and I can't stop thinking about how much I loved it. Tomorrow we plan on spending the day decorating for Christmas. This is my favorite time of the year and I look forward to the upcoming weeks.

Weekly Update
Overall, I have had a really crazy but good week. It started last Sunday when I hung out with some friends and made 8 shirts which were worn for this weeks spirit week for my friend who participated in Mr. Shepherd Hill, which is a beauty pageant type thing for boys in the school. Monday I continued finishing touches on the shirts and did some homework after school. On Tuesday, I went to dinner with my grandma, sister, and my sister's boyfriend. We go every Tuesday and it is something that I always look forward to. Wednesday I was very busy going from school to the Elementary School's after school program then right to Mr. Shepherd Hill dress rehearsal. That night I didn't get home until about 9:30, but was still able to go to bed at a reasonable hour. Thursday was also busy since I was at Mr. Shepherd Hill from 4 to 9. It was really fun and the show was great. After school Friday, I was able to catch up on school work and relax. Today I have been making more shirts and preparing for the rest of spirit week and pep rally. This week ahead is going to be really fun and I am really looking forward to it!

Weekly Update
I had every intention of writing about how my week pretty much stunk. I was sick all week and nothing was going my way. Thursday night I watched the new episode of Grey's Anatomy and Merideth's statements in the beginning and end changed the outlook of my week. She said something to the effect that people everyday say they are having horrible days. From traffic to spilled coffee, everyone is always complaining. When we look at the big picture, those things aren't horrible at all. When the really bad things happen we wish for the little "horrible" things. As crazy as it sounds, Greys Anatomy changed my view of my week, and of my life as a whole. Yes, I was sick this week but I'm okay. Also on Thursday night, an accident happened involving 3 kids my age. That also opened my eyes and allowed me to realize all of my little problems leading to a "bad week" are not problems at all. I had a pretty great week.

My Weekly Update
This week has been pretty crazy. For half of the week, I didn't have any power. For the first couple of days, I tried very hard to look on the bright side of the situation but eventually got really annoyed and sick of it. Fortunately, it came back on Tuesday night after four days, which really seemed like forever. On the bright side, I did get to miss 3 days of school which is extra exciting this year, seeing as I don't have to make up the days at the end of the year. I babysat during my days off and was able to earn a lot of money. Thursday was my first day back to school and we mostly spent the day catching up in all of my classes, continuing from where we last were. After five days out of school, I had forgotten what we were learning before we left. If we already had 3 snow days, I can only imagine what this winter will bring. I don't mind the occasional snow but I eventually get sick of it and look forward to summer. Friday night I stayed home, caught up on some homework, and watched movies. I also watched one of my favorite shows, Extreme Makeover Home Edition. This week the episode was focused on a soldier that had returned from Iraq with PTSD. The episode was eye opening and made me even more thankful for all of the brave men and women serving our country. This morning I went shopping with my mom and sister and then attended my cousin's birthday party. She turned 3 today and the party was princess themed and very cute. This week has been very tiring and I am looking forward to catching up on some sleep tonight and gaining an extra hour.

Reflections
Well, it is now Wednesday and I am finally getting to post my blog from last week. Since Saturday, I have been without power. It has been a very long 4 days and I have learned that I would not have survived well back in the old days. Anyhow, last week was good as a whole, although I don't remember everything that I did. I was able to go out to dinner with my Nanny, which I love to do every Tuesday. On Wednesday, I once again worked at the after school program at the Dudley Elementary School with the "Math on the Go" students. Later that night I attended rehearsal for Mr. Shepherd Hill. I played and stopped the music for the underclassmen and it was very funny to watch them practice new dance moves over and over again. Thursday, I went out to dinner at Chuck's Steakhouse and had soup and salad, my favorites. That night it snowed for the first time this year, which is always exciting at first but then reminds me that a long winter is ahead of us. Friday I babysat and enjoyed hearing all different kinds of stories from the little girl. Saturday was the day I lost power and am now so thrilled to have it back. You really don't know what you have until it's gone.

Reflecting on My Week
As a whole, I have had a great and productive week.As my week began last Sunday, I spent my day in West Brookfield with my grandparents. Since it has gotten to the point where they have difficulty taking care of themselves, my mom and I headed out to see help them out and visit. Once I returned home I worked on some school work and went to see my friend's younger brother play hockey, which was really exciting and fun. Monday was a little crazy going right from school to babysitting and then to class. I began babysitting for a new family and absolutely loved the kids. They are very well behaved and I look forward to babysitting them again in the future. Class was very interesting that night as always, as I learned new methods and continued planning the wedding. On Tuesday, I went out to dinner with my grandmother, which is always nice. I don't get to see her often and it was great to catch up.After school on Wednesday, I went to the Dudley Elementary School where I worked in an afterschool program known as ASPIRE. I worked with my mom, a third grade teacher, and a group of students in "Math on the Go." All of the kids are great and always find a way to make my day. I really enjoyed Thursday as I was able to go out to dinner with my friends before a long night of studying. Friday I had five quizzes, so once the day was over, I was very relieved. Today I had the privelege of going to class at Nichols and getting a tour of the campus. I was planning on applying to Nichols College before today, but today assured that it could definitely be the school for me.

My Week
My week has been awesome. I had a short school week of only 3 1/2 days and was able to spend my time off relaxing. It was a much needed little break and felt really good to sleep in and take some time off from my busy schedule. On my half day on Thursday, I went to lunch to Red Robin after getting out and had a great time with my friends. I also got a pink hair extension to support breast cancer. I think it's really cool and different because it's not something I would normally do. Thursday night I watched my favorite show Grey's Anatomy and called it a night. Friday was an exciting day. I slept in and then went to the soccer game and then the football game. It was very cold, but worth every second as Shepherd Hill was able to defeat Auburn! Especially because Auburn's record was 41-0. I'm going to miss not having class this Monday, but I continue planning for the wedding project, which is really fun! Out of the group it is my job to find and pick out the dresses which I think is the most exciting part! This past week has been really fun and I cannot wait to enjoy the rest of my long weekend.

Reflecting on My Week
This week so far has been great. During class Monday I was able to learn more about time management and ever since I feel as though my days have been running a lot smoother. I'm really excited to learn more techniques that will help me better my schedule and organize my life as a whole. Also in class on Monday night we were assigned our semester long project. I have an awesome group and I am very very excited to plan a wedding! I love weddings and can't wait to start the project. Tuesday and Wednesday I babysat and did homework all night. Once again, it was great having more of a set schedule where I was able to manage my time efficiently. I'm hoping the rest of my week goes well, I think it will. I look forward to class on Monday to learn more and work on ideas for our wedding!

Living the Life
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." - Henry David Thoreau
This is one of the quotes I have chosen to live by. Each day, reminding myself of this quote, I look to succeed and think positive thoughts knowing one day my dreams will come true. Over the years, I have developed my own values, plans, and expectations which will all lead me to accomplishing my dreams. Values such as honesty, integrity, respect, and kindness are very important to me. It is not only important that I possess those qualities and remind myself of my values daily, but I surround myself with people who have such qualities and share the same values. I understand that everyone is different, however, I think honesty, respect, integrity and kindness are all simple essential qualities that form great people.
In order to one day achieve my dreams, I need day-to-day plans as well as future plans. Day to day plans include minor things such as do my homework, eat dinner, babysit, and get to a meeting, all while mananging my time appropiately. I also have weekly plans such as to finish my college essay and study for upcoming quizzes, for example. And then there's lifelong future plans. Being a senior in high school, next year I am planning to attend a four-year college. I'm looking to major in business and minor in psychology. Once I've completed college I then hope to attend law school. After law school is completed, I hope to become a lawyer and specialize in family law, dealing with custody issues and divorces. Although my plans may change over the course of the next couple of years, I do plan on living a successful and happy life, no matter what. Of course, my goals tie directly in with my plans. I plan in order to reach my goals and follow my dreams. Also relating to my goals and dreams is the expectations I have set for myself and others. I know my potential and I will not let myself settle for anything less. As for others, I expect them to treat me as I treat them, specifically following the "Golden Rule," "Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you." I know how I should be treated and have made the decision not to surround myself with those who don't treat me how I deserve to be treated. Through my values, goals, planning and expectations, I am confident that one day I will reach my dreams and live the life I have imagined.
